Logistics Coordinator

Gurman Logistics is an Orlando-based expedited freight brokerage. For more than nine years we have connected shippers and carriers across all 48 contiguous states, with 24/7 dispatch, vetted capacity, and clear communication from tender to delivery.

The Logistics Coordinator is the operational hub of each load. You will match freight with the right truck, confirm pickup and delivery windows, keep every party informed, and step in the moment a shipment is at risk. This is a hands-on, high-communication role for someone who stays calm under time pressure and takes ownership of every load they touch.

You will work alongside dispatch, carrier sales, and customer support. Success looks like on-time pickups, clean handoffs, and problems solved before the customer has to ask. If you like a fast desk, a live phone, and freight that cannot wait, this role is built for you.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily expedited freight operations, including carrier assignment, rate confirmation, and appointment setting
• Track shipments in real time and update shippers, carriers, and internal dispatch as status changes
• Escalate delays, equipment issues, and coverage gaps quickly, then drive them to resolution
• Build reliable working relationships with carriers on key lanes
• Document load notes, check calls, PODs, and exception history with accuracy
• Support after-hours and weekend coverage as part of a 24/7 brokerage operation

Requirements

• At least one year in freight brokerage, dispatch, carrier sales, or logistics operations
• Clear, confident communication by phone and email with shippers and drivers
• Ability to manage multiple active loads without losing details
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Eligibility to work in the United States

Nice to have

• Experience with a TMS, DAT, Truckstop, or similar load-board tools
• Familiarity with expedited, hotshot, or team freight
• Bilingual English and Spanish

Location and compensation

This is a full-time position based at our Orlando, FL office at 7101 Presidents Dr, Suite 260. Compensation is competitive and based on experience. We will discuss salary, schedule, and growth path with qualified candidates.
